After 4 years studying Illustration at Art College I naturally fell into a career as a television Camera Operator. I have worked in the Television industry since 1992 on a huge variety of programming.

             I was inspired to invest in a new stills camera and to develop my skills as a photographer after a trip to Zimbabwe in 2003, a beautiful country which I look forward to returning to. I love motor racing, sailing and travelling so these are natural subjects for me.

             For motor racing and action photography I use a Canon EOS 1vhs which is fantastic for high speed photography. For travel photography I prefer a Mamiya 7. I love the quality from the huge 6x7 transparency’s. I have yet to see a digital image comparable to a 6x7 Fuji Velvia transparency. When I do I’ll save up and switch to digital.

             My ambition is to spend my life exploring the world on my boat taking photographs. Just as soon as I figure out how to make a living at it!
